If you are a student or an office worker, do you sometimes experience your extremities becoming twitching? I think some of you may begin to feel twinges in your legs and it becomes difficult to continue in that position when you are sitting at the desk for a while. Some people may try kneeling on the chair to lessen the pain, but they cannot concentrate in that position. This could be because your lower body is very weak.
When I was studying in the university, I suffered a lot because of these symptoms and it continued to bother me even after graduation. In 2006, Pastor Chai took his sabbatical for 6 months and I was forced to become the acting ...

Last week, Pastor Daniel Paick delivered a sermon about having a children’s time in the Mokjang agenda in order to pass on our faith to our children. He named this time as ‘Olive Blessing’ during his sermon. Some of you may be wondering what this means, so I would like to share my thoughts on this with you.
Until now, Children’s Mokjang had two parts. First part was for the children to spend time together with their parents during the adult Mokjang. This time is when everyone sings a simple hymn, following by the children sharing something they are thankful about and prayer topics. Then adults pray for the children with these prayer ...

It is not exaggerating to say that Christian life is a process of developing good habits. And with this, our spirituality depends so much on our habits we have. To go from praying and studying the Word, to becoming natural at serving others and developing gentle spirit, it depends on what type of habits we develop in ourselves. This is why with the help of Our Lord, we need to continue to fight against bad habits and develop good habits.
The reason all of our bible classes are 13 weeks long is that it is the minimum time necessary to develop good habits. After we finish each of the bible classes, someone will often testify that more than the ...

It is time for the House Church Seminar for the Pastors again. This time, we host 88 pastors and missionaries from 7 countries (not counting the United States). This is a considerably smaller number compared to last year’s 130ish attendees. We don’t know the exact reason, but the fact that we have fewer pastors from Korea and fewer missionaries this year seems to suggest two possible reasons.First of all, because there are now several good house-church-based churches in Korea, Korean pastors do not need to make international trips. Additionally, Korea now hashouse church seminars specially designed for missionaries. We have fewer attendees this ...

My daughter recently broke up with her boyfriend that she dated in college.During her teenage and college years, she had many male friends she got to know through various ministries at church, but she never dated any of them. So, when the boy she served together at the same church asked her out on a date in her junior year, she was quite nervous. My wife and I had previously instructed her that dating at an age you cannot marry would only leave pain and hurt for each other and that it is a better idea to meet in groups and only start dating when she is closer to her senior year in college with marriage in mind. Therefore, we were very interested in how ...

I see people remarry in haste sometimes. People who remarry after being widowed, in most cases, do so with the blessings from people around them, but those who remarry after divorce oftentimes skip the proper procedures and remarry in haste, not wanting to draw attention. The reason for that probably is the general thought of remarrying after divorce as something not so honorable.
In fact, the bible does not allow one to divorce unless it’s something fundamental such as adultery, physical abuse, or neglect. Also, even if one’s divorced, the bible encourages that person to forgive and reunite with the spouse and otherwise live alone. It states ...

One year has passed already and it is time to ask for volunteers for our 333 prayer group. I would like to thank from bottom of my heart to all the volunteers that served as part of 333 prayer group during past year to pray about our church and family. There are a few members of our church that ask ‘what is the 333 prayer group?’ It is a group that prays three times a day, right before your meal time for 33 seconds. There is not any special meaning to 33 second, but was selected for the ease of memory.
When you become a member of 333 prayer group, we will give a standing prayer topic for the whole year and when there is a special prayer ...
