There is a very strong possibility that our church will purchase 20 acres of land on Hammerly and Brittmore as our church site for the future. In order to decide on this, we will have an emergency New Life family meeting on Sunday, October 6 at 2PM in the Lounge. This may come as a surprise to many of you. So, let me share with you how this came about.
This past February, I had a strong sense and desire from God that we should look for and purchase at least 20 acres of land near I-10 and Beltway 8. Both New Life ...

One of the main reasons why New Life is able to continue and thrive in its ministry with just one full-time pastor is because we have extremely faithful and committed team leaders. It is truly astounding how tirelessly they pray for, care about and serve the church with passion and humility. I consider myself very blessed to have such leaders to work with and build up God’s kingdom together.
Many of you may not even know that New Life is organized around seven different ministry teams and the seven different leaders ...

Our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth in six days and He rested on the seventh day. He rested not because He was tired from work but to show us an example to follow. Rest, therefore, is God’s idea! And it is so important in our life that He commands us to rest periodically. For example, He commanded His people in the Old Testament to rest one day a week, a Sabbath, one year every seven years, a Sabbatical year, and a Jubilee, the fiftieth year, which brought to a close a cycle of seven Sabbatical ...

Then they finish the day with a couple of meetings with church leaders. By the time they go home, they are pooped!&nb...

We had our annual pulpit exchange last Sunday. Pastor Chai came to New Life and gave us the message as I did the same to the Korean congregation. It was good to hear from many of you that you truly appreciated and learned a lot from Pastor Chai’s message. I also had a great time worshipping with and delivering the message to them.
Whenever I go over to the Korean congregation to speak I always put on a suit and a tie. I do it because it’s their culture and it’s expected of me to do it. They would have ...

It’s exciting to see more and more New Lifers are finding the love of their lifetime and tying the knot! I am hoping that there would be at least a half dozen weddings taking place this year. If God hasn’t called you to be celibate He will surely provide you with a Christ-honoring spouse if you patiently wait upon Him and serve Him faithfully.
This is still the beginning of 2002 and I would like to share with you some of my thoughts for your wedding celebration. These are just my personal suggestions and recommen...

Our humble trailer has housed us these past two and a half years as we worshipped and ministered here. God has truly done some marvelous things in our midst. We watched as time after time, many came to commit themselves to become followers of Christ, publicly professing their faith by getting baptized. As I write, we are witnessing the number of our house churches tripling from the original six to eighteen and people’s lives being touched and transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit in and through our house church ...
