It is crucial for Christians to spend Sunday properly. These days, everybody is busy and some claim that since every day is important, it is not necessary to differentiate Sunday. However, it is imperative to keep Sunday holy for a healthy spiritual life. Regardless of changes in society, it is still critical to remember the spirit of Sunday which is to stop our busy lives and to focus on God, remembering that this world does not depend on our power and effort, but on God’s providence and grace.
As we dedicate Sunday to be a day of rest for the upcoming week and a day to focus on God and a day to meet with God through worship, its impact for ...

As of midnight of Sep. 28, our church website will be changed to a new and updated page. We have went through lots of trial and error, but eventually the new website was completed almost solely by the talents of our church members. I am very thankful for the tireless effort of members who worked on this project especially many members of Information Control Ministry and Culture Planning Ministry.
The main difference between the new and the previous site is the seamless compatibility on smart phone and desktop. In the older version, the menu often did not appear and posting was very difficult. Now, under the new website, the compatibility is ...

It could take pain to get to know oneself. We all have a part of ourselves whom either we do not know or we do not want to acknowledge. This part of us was formed by some wound or unhappy event in the past. Because of that, we ourselves could be oblivious about this fact or if we do know it, we want to cover it up completely. Therefore, if this area is exposed, it is natural for us to experience pain.
In such a case, we normally react in the following two ways. One is denial. We commonly deny saying, ‘You are not right about me.’ or ‘I am not that kind of person.’ We make excuses like, ‘I had some good reasons to act in such a ...

Some do not feel comfortable treating drinking as sin. They think having social drinking contributes in relationship and friendship building. Therefore, on advertisement for alcohol, they use female to emphasize friendship and good company. However, alcohol is not such a simple matter. As you know, Pastor Sam Oh has been in charge of the Youth ministry of our church for a while. However, it would be a too heavy burden for one pastor to minister over 230 students of junior high and high school age. For example, for pre-school and grade school kids, we have many volunteers who help with various activities. However for Youth ministry, there has been a limited participation from KSC due to the language barrier. As for the ESC, the member’s children tend to be young-aged who require most of their parent’s time and energy. Therefore, only a handful of Youth ministry volunteers have been available to juggle with the tasks of youth ...

From last Monday to Friday, I took a family vacation. To me, a family vacation is not an easy project. Because of my wife’s visual impairment, she has difficulties with long vehicle rides, walking, or being exposed to sunlight for long, and other outdoor activities. If she walks for longer than a half mile, her legs will swell, she will feel pain in her shoulders and neck and other combination of physical difficulties.
In comparison, my daughter has a bucket list that includes skydiving, world’s tallest bungee jumping, or riding the world’s highest roller coaster, etc. To have a same trip with these two women of different interest requires ...
