We insert communication cards in our Sunday bulletin every week for the purpose of communication! J When New Life members and attendees drop their cards in the offering baskets, they are brought to me so that I can follow up on them.
Mainly three things are communicated through the card. First one is urgent prayer needs. In addition to using yearly prayer request forms, I use prayer needs that are written in the communication cards to pray for the members each week. Second one is classes or ministries. New Life members can indicate what classes or ministries they are ...

We didn’t have Fall Festival both in 2017 and 2018. Last year was the first time in history of New Life we cancelled it due to rain and this year was the second time due to the same reason. It happened two years in a row back to back.
Why did it rain on both days? I don’t know. You don’t know. Only God knows. But I want us to approach Fall Festival with a renewed mindset going forward.
Fall Festival, along with Crawfish Boil and Late (Game) Night with (at) New Life, is one of the few events that we do as a whole church to reach out to our VIPs. Unlike the other ...

Last Sunday, Ken and Sarah Muma from Kijabe, Kenya came and spoke at New Life. This wasn’t planned a year ago but just a couple of months ago when a missionary doctor who is serving at Kijabe Hospital contacted one of our members and informed him of the Mumas coming to the US to make some connections for the purpose of raising both financial and personnel support.
As I said during the service, I wasn’t planning on collecting any offering to support Kijabe Hospital after they were done sharing their message. After all, we just recently gave the hospital $300,000 ...

New Life emphasizes the importance of every Christian being an active member at a local church. Without this, it’s impossible for us to grow as a Christ follower. Our triune God designed it in such a way that we can learn and grow the way He intended only in a loving community. Hence, He gave us the church. Therefore, we offer Membership Class (Class 101) regularly and we uphold our Membership Covenant highly. Every member of New Life has both privileges and responsibilities.
The more we walk with God and get to know Him, the more we realize that these privileges and ...

New Life began on Sunday, August 10, 1997. Last year, we celebrated our 20th year anniversary. We built and moved into our current building on Sunday, August 12, 2007, which was our tenth year anniversary. God has been good and faithful to us all these years. He has done some amazing things in and through us. I hope and pray that God will do even more great God-sized things in the years to come through New Life.
When we decided to build and have a place of our own, someone needed to come up with architectural concepts and design. Unfortunately and strangely, Leadership ...

New Life’s short-term mission trips’ preparation is in full swing. A couple of the trips have taken place already. And the deadline to sign up for the remaining trips is March 31. I hope many of you will go on a trip this year to encourage the missionaries out there, serve God and experience Him deeply.
From the earlier years of New Life, we have always had a very unique and special policy when it came to raising funds for these trips. Members who have been here for a while know this. However, due to many not being familiar with the policy I would like to address it ...

Common sense is not so common anymore these days.
At times, I get blown away by watching some of the things that people do or don’t do. The following should be no brainer for everyone but I listed them here because I am not so sure if everyone knows, agrees with and practices them. Many of these are related to the confines of New Life Fellowship, but they are also very applicable in your family, neighborhood, school and work.
Don’t drop or spill things on the floor. If you do, quickly pick it up or wipe it off.
When you see trash in front of you, pick it up ...
