Thank You, Bobby, for Your Service!

Starting from December, our praise team will be led by Sean Kim, who is our Magnification Team leader. He will be the one who will be overseeing the praise team ministry from recruiting the right people, to training them, to evaluating and improving its quality. Bobby Bang, who has been serving the team for these past years, will step down and no longer serve as a team leader. It has not been easy, but after much prayer and sharing, we have arrived at this decision. He has done a great job of beginning and establishing the team to its current level. We are making ...

Servant Leader

Sometimes organizations suffer by requiring not so important qualities from their leaders. During the Lee Dynasty era, typical leaders excelled in memorization and writing skills. The National Selection Test required in order to become a leader mainly concentrated on these two skills. As a result it produced many geeky scholars as national leaders. In America, witty people seem to become national leaders. During the presidential debate, a candidate's witty and clever responses influence their popularity and even win him the election. Fall Festival 2002!

We had a tremendous turn out on our Fall Festival this past Thursday. The parking lot was full and the carnival area was also jammed packed with adults and children playing games and eating some good food! Considering all the New Life members who didn?t receive the meal tickets but ate the food anyway, I think there were well over 700 people who were there to enjoy the evening! Peter Lee, our Ministry Team leader, and all the committee members together with every New Life member/attendee who came out have done a marvelous job of putting the event together making it a ...

Must I Admit It Now?

The 13th House Church Seminar for Pastors came to a good close, thanks to many of your prayers and dedicated services of our church members. It saddens me to think this is the last time we will sponsor Pastors Seminar in the fall. Starting next year, it will be held at Atlanta. We will sponsor a House Church Seminar for Laymen, instead. With each repeated seminar, the attendees' sincerity is increasing while the average pastors' age is decreasing. It shows that the House Church concept is peaking among the younger pastors. Saturday morning during the seminar, we hold a ...

Must Have Auto Insurance

Several of our church members are suffering due to hit and run accidents. Some cannot get their cars fixed while others are suffering medically due to lack of proper insurance. We are outraged to hear of such irresponsible hit and run acts but we Christians can also fall into such category of people. When we drive without auto insurance, we become similar people. If our careless driving causes an accident, but not able to compensate the others losses, we are committing the same. Soon after I received Jesus and full of passion, I thought of driving without auto insuran...

Some Healthy Trends in New Life and Our House Churches!

A few days ago I went into the gym to take a look at the house church attendance chart on the wall in the fellowship area. Other than just a few house churches, many of the house churches are faithfully keeping the attendance for their house church meetings. When I added all the people who had shown up and participated in their house churches during the week of 9/16-22, I came up with about 205 people! This is amazing and I was very pleased by it because it shows a couple of very important and healthy trends that are taking place in New Life. First, the membership of ...
