There is a time for everything,
And a season for every activity under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build…
(Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3)
It’s exciting to realize that the right time has finally arrived for us to build a new launching pad for God’s awesome work!
We will have our building project kick-off service next Sunday, November 6. What a privilege it is for us to be able to ...

Starting from this Tuesday, we will begin our Lighthouses of Prayer ministry. We are doing this in response to the challenge God has given us during this year??s fall retreat in the area of prayer in our lives. We all know in our heads that persistent and fervent prayer is absolutely vital for any Christ follower and God??s church to grow and mature in Christ. However, it is not that easy developing a prayerful life on our own especially when we are spiritually young. We need support, encouragement and challenge from one another in order for us to develop the habit of ...

I don’t particularly enjoy brushing my teeth, but I like the benefits it brings in my life. Obviously, the most important benefit is that it protects my teeth and prevents me from getting cavities. But it also gives me a very refreshing taste and feeling afterwards. That’s why I often say, “Ah-----!” after I finish brushing my teeth.

So, let me share with you how this came about.
This past February, I had a strong sense and desire from God that we should look for and purchase at least 20 acres of land near I-10 and Beltway 8. Both New Life ...

One of the main reasons why New Life is able to continue and thrive in its ministry with just one full-time pastor is because we have extremely faithful and committed team leaders. It is truly astounding how tirelessly they pray for, care about and serve the church with passion and humility. I consider myself very blessed to have such leaders to work with and build up God’s kingdom together.
Many of you may not even know that New Life is organized around seven different ministry teams and the seven different leaders ...

Our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth in six days and He rested on the seventh day. He rested not because He was tired from work but to show us an example to follow. Rest, therefore, is God’s idea! And it is so important in our life that He commands us to rest periodically. For example, He commanded His people in the Old Testament to rest one day a week, a Sabbath, one year every seven years, a Sabbatical year, and a Jubilee, the fiftieth year, which brought to a close a cycle of seven Sabbatical ...

Many pastors say that Sunday is another workday for them. And they seem to get pretty tired at the end of the day. This is understandable if you know what their Sunday schedule is really like. Often times they teach Sunday school before worship. Then they preside over worship service and preach a sermon. After worship, they meet and talk with the first time guests. Then they finish the day with a couple of meetings with church leaders. By the time they go home, they are pooped!&nb...
