We insert communication cards in our Sunday bulletin every week for the purpose of communication! J When New Life members and attendees drop their cards in the offering baskets, they are brought to me so that I can follow up on them.

Everyone wants to live his life for something that is deeply meaningful and significant. He wants his life to matter and count.
Church is not any different. A church that senses that she is fulfilling God’s purpose for her will feel extremely satisfied and fulfilled. On the other hand, a church that feels lost and stuck will be miserable.
The purpose of church’s existence is to save the lost and make them Christ’s disciples. It’s clearly spelled out in Matthew 28:18-20 which is known as The Great Commission.

2017 and 2018 Fall Festivals
We didn’t have Fall Festival both in 2017 and 2018. Last year was the first time in history of New Life we cancelled it due to rain and this year was the second time due to the same reason. It happened two years in a row back to back.
Why did it rain on both days? I don’t know. You don’t know. Only God knows. But I want us to approach Fall Festival with a renewed mindset going forward.

We have been looking for our new children’s pastor for a year. Many of us have been faithfully praying to God asking Him to show us who that person will be. In our attempt to find one, Leadership Team and I came up with children’s pastor’s ministry description, posted on several “Pastors Wanted” websites and made inquiries at different places that we thought might be able to give us a lead in this. Last Sunday, Ken and Sarah Muma from Kijabe, Kenya came and spoke at New Life. This wasn’t planned a year ago but just a couple of months ago when a missionary doctor who is serving at Kijabe Hospital contacted one of our members and informed him of the Mumas coming to the US to make some connections for the purpose of raising both financial and personnel support.

New Life emphasizes the importance of every Christian being an active member at a local church. Without this, it’s impossible for us to grow as a Christ follower. Our triune God designed it in such a way that we can learn and grow the way He intended only in a loving community. Hence, He gave us the church. Therefore, we offer Membership Class (Class 101) regularly and we uphold our Membership Covenant highly. Every member of New Life has both privileges and responsibilities.

The Mural in the Hall of Faith
New Life began on Sunday, August 10, 1997. Last year, we celebrated our 20th year anniversary. We built and moved into our current building on Sunday, August 12, 2007, which was our tenth year anniversary. God has been good and faithful to us all these years. He has done some amazing things in and through us. I hope and pray that God will do even more great God-sized things in the years to come through New Life.
