A “Thank You!” Gift to Our KSC

Everyone wants to live his life for something that is deeply meaningful and significant. He wants his life to matter and count.

Church is not any different. A church that senses that she is fulfilling God’s purpose for her will feel extremely satisfied and fulfilled. On the other hand, a church that feels lost and stuck will be miserable.

The purpose of church’s existence is to save the lost and make them Christ’s disciples. It’s clearly spelled out in Matthew 28:18-20 which is known as The Great Commission.

Every church, if she is a Bible believing church, knows this. However, not every church knows how to go about fulfilling this Great Commission. New Life is extremely blessed because we know not just the purpose of church’s existence but also how to go about fulfilling it. We do it by and through house church which, we believe, is the pattern of church that Jesus gave in the New Testament.

Over the past 21 years of New Life history, many VIPs came to know Christ as their Lord and Savior, received baptism and got trained to be Christ’s disciples. And for this, we are eternally grateful to God.

We just hosted another House Church Seminar for Lay Leaders in October. This was the biggest ever. And we are about to host another one in January because the need is great and we can’t wait one full year. Some of us who are deeply involved in making these seminars possible may be a little tired from hosting back to back. But each time we host, we walk away being reminded of the words of Jesus that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

However, for us to be where we are with our ministry especially house church ministry, we can’t forget the fact that God has used our KSC in a very special way. The KSC gave birth to New Life in August 10, 1997. The KSC fully supported us financially the first year. The KSC never charged us any rent for the first ten years when we used their facility until we built and moved into our current building on our 10th year anniversary Sunday, August 12, 2007. The KSC has patiently shown and modelled for us how to host house church seminar both for pastors and lay leaders to a point where we can now host almost on our own. The KSC has been praying for us faithfully ever since when we started. And the KSC has been always very supportive of and respectful towards us. Without our KSC, New Life will not be the kind of church that we are right now. As I hear about other churches more and more, there seems to be not many churches that are as strong and healthy as New Life. And we owe much of this to our KSC.

We are in the month of November. It’s the month that has Thanksgiving. It’s a great time of the year when we should pause and reflect on God’s goodness that has been shown us this year and up to this moment in our life.

One of the blessings that New Life has experienced over the years is a financial blessing. We run and operate very lean with a small group of pastoral and administrative staff. We are able to do this because much of the pastoral ministry is being done by our shepherds and village leaders which is the way it should be according to the Scripture. We are also very frugal on ourselves but generous towards others. In addition to all this, many of us give very generously over and beyond our tithing. So, we have more than enough financial resources.

Considering all the love and support we have received from our KSC over the years, New Life Leadership Team has decided to express our deep gratitude towards our KSC by blessing them with a $300,000 gift on Thanksgiving Sunday!

Thank you, New Life, for your faithfulness, humble obedience and generosity!

Your pastor,

Eric
