His name is Jesus

God displays His incredible love by protecting and directing His people out of impossible situations. However, we tend to get hung up on the impossibilities of life and believe God cannot change our circumstances because He does not love us enough. Thus, we lose our spiritual sense to believe that God could bring life to what seems like an end.

Joseph must have been filled with excitement and anticipation as he waited to wed his beloved Mary. At this joyful season in his life, he finds Mary to be with a child. Could you imagine what could have been running through his mind? His life was turned upside down, and he was ready to walk away from Mary. Joseph’s dream of becoming a husband and a father to love and protect his future wife and children was coming to an end. What a hopeless situation.

However, Joseph was a righteous man (right heart condition before God), fully awakened to the spiritual sense to hear God’s voice. Joseph encountered “the Angel of the Lord” (a manifestation of God in human form) two times in his dreams.

First time, to protect Joseph from making a decision that he would regret for the rest of his life: “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20-21).

Second time, to direct Joseph to protect Mary and baby Jesus: “An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him” (Matthew 2:13).

Life Testimony: In Jordan, there was a Muslim family who had a son that was dying of illness. They were without hope. One night, the father had a dream where Jesus walked into his house and healed his son. The father woke up from his dream and ran to his son, and behold his son was completely healed! Out of joy, he told people about how Jesus healed his son. Then on, persecution started, so he and his family had to flee to a neighboring country.

However, after some time had passed, the Lord told him to go back to Jordan. The father could not understand but trusted the Lord. He came back to Jordan by paying a truck driver who allowed him to hide under the bed of the truck. Soon after, he went into a Christian bookstore seeking help and was led to a prayer group. There, he met a missionary who provided a safe house. Then, through the help of the missionary, he was able to bring his family back to Jordan.

Later, the man realized that God brought him back to Jordan so that he could apply for an asylum through the U.N., where as it would have been impossible to seek an asylum in any other nearby nation. God can take impossible circumstances and show His incredible love.

I believe that often it takes an impossible circumstance to drive us to surrender and depend on God. It’s when you depend on Him that you begin to see the kind of love that only He can give. It’s not until you get into a situation where you think there’s no way out that He can show you that HE IS the only way. God will protect and direct our lives even when life seems hopeless.

His name is Jesus Christ who gives us hope when all else fails.
His name is Jesus, and He came to this world to bring us hope of salvation.
His name is Jesus, and He came to be the hope of the nations.
His name is Jesus, “In his name the nations will put their hope” (Matthew 12:21).

In this world, there will be troubles, disappointments, and impossible circumstances we can’t avoid. People will let you down, circumstances will not turn out like you expect them, and there will be pain along the way. This is, after-all, a fallen world.

But, Jesus came to give us hope. In fact, Romans 9:33 tells us how much hope there is, “Anyone who trusts in Him will never be disappointed.” Jesus came to be the light to this world. He came to bring light to your life.

Trust Him, and He will never disappoint you!

Remember, His name is Jesus!
