HALLELUJAH! Our son George has arrived! George entered the world this past Wednesday, June 20 at exactly 6:51PM. He must have taken after his father because he was HUGE! He weighed in at 9 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. (And he was two weeks early!) What can I say – the boy ate well while he was in his mama’s belly! And if I say so myself, he came out pretty darn cute! You’ll have to judge for yourself when you meet him.
I can’t really put into words what Gina and I are feeling right now. But one thing is for sure: we are so, so thankful to our Father for a healthy boy and a healthy mom! Thank you all for praying for us throughout Gina’s pregnancy – God is so GOOD to us! We really appreciate all the visits and words of congratulations – it is truly a blessing to be part of such a wonderful church family!
So why “our little tomato?” Actually, George has a really round face with pudgy little cheeks. And when he cries (or is pooping) he gets really red. So he looks just like a little tomato! So CUTE! Gina and I love to just stare at him and admire God’s handiwork.
In Psalm 127, God tells us that children are a blessing. Even though we’ve already lost a lot of sleep and our schedule is going to be totally dictated by this little addition to our family, we are blessed beyond measure to be parents of our little tomato. Please continue to pray for George as he grows and becomes the man that God wants him to be!
