Serving in house church ministry is a wonderful and sometimes painful experience. As Shepherds, we face challenges personally and in our ministry. We want to help change that. Our goal is to create something that will refresh, encourage, and empower all Shepherds to do greater things in their workplace, family, and ministry. Join us at the New Life Shepherd’s Retreat.

Session 1
How to Keep Going When it’s Hard
In May of 2003, Anita founded Inspire Women, with no money in the bank but a crystal-clear mission to inspire women of all ethnicities, denominations and economic levels to find and pursue their God-given potential. With a special focus on mentorship and funding, each year Inspire Women disciples over 800 leaders and funds more than 100 scholarships and grants for a singular purpose: to invest in women who change the world. Inspire Women has a heart for women and devotes its time and resources to helping them realize their God-given potential.

Session 2
Relationship Building with Unbelievers
Justin and his wife, Meryl, currently reside in Houston with their three crazy and delightful boys. They quit their teaching jobs long ago and moved overseas. After living overseas and studying Arabic, God brought them back to the States to reach out to the diaspora people groups that are in Houston. Meryl is currently an admin for Sojourn Galleria and Justin works at Urban Catalyst. Urban Catalyst is a peacemaking organization with a passion to catalyze a global movement of peace and reconciliation among all peoples, promoting peace and understanding between cultures by providing cultural awareness training, humanitarian relief, child development for refugees in Jordan and serving and teaching English to refugees in the Houston area. For 8 years, they have been serving and working with Muslims.
