All throughout the month of February, we will be focusing our attention on world missions. We will be hearing from missionaries from all around the world! Each of these speakers has obeyed God’s call to go and reach the world for Christ, and each of them has an incredible story to share with you. A brief description of each speaker is available for you to read in the special bulletin insert entitled, “Missions Month.”
I hope that you will listen intently to what God is revealing to you personally as you hear from these speakers. Most of the world’s best known and respected missionaries began their missions work as teenagers. I pray that God will ignite a passion for evangelism in each of your hearts and that many of you will obey His call to go wherever He wants you.
If you are available to participate in summer missions with us this year, I have included in the bulletin a description of each of the four opportunities you have this year. Some of you will be serving the inner city of Houston, right in our backyard. Others of you will be serving the physically and mentally disabled at Camp Barnabas. Still others of you will join NLF as they serve in Oaxaca, Mexico. And finally, a select few of you will get a chance to share the Gospel overseas in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Please pay attention to the eligibility requirements of each of these mission trips before you sign up. Costs for each trip will be available soon.
Keep your eyes and ears open – God is looking for people who will obey His call and go!
